Frequently asked questions
Subscription Renewal and Cancellation
Yes. By default, all subscriptions are set to auto-renew so you don’t experience any interruption in service. Individual (personal) subscriptions are renewed on a monthly basis, while institutional or business subscriptions are renewed on an annual basis. This means if you do nothing, your subscription will continue into the next term (month or year) and charge you accordingly. If you prefer not to auto-renew, don’t worry – you have the option to disable it at any time (see below).
You can turn off automatic renewal at any time before your next billing date. We want to make this easy for you. Simply go to your account settings and disable the auto-renewal option (or contact our support team, and we’ll be happy to assist). Once turned off, your subscription will not renew after the current paid period ends. You’ll continue to have full access until your current subscription term expires, but it won’t automatically charge or extend after that.
Absolutely! You’re free to cancel whenever you need to – we understand plans can change. You can initiate a cancellation through your Brahmarsive dashboard or by reaching out to us. When you cancel, we’ll stop any future billing. Importantly, you won’t lose access immediately – you can continue using the platform until the end of the period you’ve already paid for (the current month or year of your subscription). After that, your account will simply not renew.
In general, we do not issue refunds for the remaining time on a subscription when you cancel (unless required by applicable law). For example, if you cancel midway through a month or year, you’ll still be able to use the platform for the rest of that prepaid period, but you won’t be refunded for the days remaining. We believe in transparency, so we want you to know this upfront. (The only exception would be if a specific law in your region requires a refund under certain circumstances – we will, of course, comply with any such laws.)
Our team works hard to ensure the platform is up and running smoothly for you. If there’s a serious issue on our end that makes Brahmarsive completely inaccessible for you, please let us know right away. In those rare cases, we will review the situation. If we determine that a problem with our platform caused you to lose access for a significant time, we’ll do our best to make it right. This could include offering you a pro-rated refund for the time you were unable to use the service (meaning we’d refund the portion of your subscription for the period of confirmed downtime). Refunds in these cases are handled on a case-by-case basis and at our discretion after verification of the issue. Our goal is to be fair and take care of our customers if we have an outage or service disruption.
System Requirements and Compatibility
Brahmarsive is an immersive platform, so you will need to have your own compatible hardware to use it (we provide the software, but not the physical devices). It’s important to make sure your device meets our minimum requirements before you subscribe, so you have a smooth experience. Currently, the supported devices and system requirements are:
- VR Headsets: Oculus Quest 3 is fully supported and offers the best experience. You can also use an Oculus Quest 2 or Oculus Quest Pro – the platform will run on these, though you might notice reduced performance (such as some lag or occasional display errors) since they are older models. We’re also working on supporting the PICO 4 Ultra Enterprise Edition in the near future (upcoming support). VR headsets are the primary way to view immersive experiences on Brahmarsive.
- Computers (Laptop/Desktop) for Authoring: You can use a PC or laptop for the Brahmarsive Authoring Studio (the tool used to create and manage content), but your computer should meet certain specs. We recommend at least an Intel i5 (or equivalent) processor with 16 GB of RAM or more, and you’ll need a WebXR-compatible browser. Importantly, even with a capable computer, you cannot view the 3D/VR immersive experiences on a laptop or desktop – the computer is only for building content, not for experiencing the VR content itself.
- Mobile Devices: Right now, smartphones and tablets are not supported for using Brahmarsive. The platform won’t run on iOS or Android mobile devices. To access Brahmarsive’s content, you’ll need to use one of the supported VR headsets (for viewing experiences) or a compatible computer (for authoring only).
(For the smoothest performance, we highly recommend using an Oculus Quest 3 headset. We continuously update our supported device list as technology evolves, so please check our latest guidelines or ask us if you’re unsure about a specific device.)
Yes, you’ll need to use your own compatible device. Brahmarsive is a software platform and doesn’t come bundled with hardware, so having the appropriate VR headset or computer is your responsibility. We want you to have the best experience, so be sure to use a device that meets the requirements above. If you don’t currently have a supported VR headset or a powerful enough PC for authoring, you may need to obtain those before fully utilizing the platform. Feel free to reach out to us if you need advice on what to get – we’re happy to help point you in the right direction.
You can use a laptop/desktop for certain parts of Brahmarsive, but with some limitations. If your computer meets the specs (see above), you can run the Brahmarsive Authoring Studio to create and manage content. However, you cannot use a regular PC or laptop to experience the immersive VR content itself. The VR experiences created on our platform need to be viewed through a compatible VR headset. In short: use the computer for building content, and use a VR headset for viewing content. (This separation ensures you get a true immersive experience as intended!)
No, unfortunately not at this time. Brahmarsive does not support mobile phones or tablets for either authoring or viewing immersive experiences. The platform is focused on VR headset and desktop/laptop environments. We know convenience is important, and as mobile AR/VR tech improves, we may revisit this in the future, but for now you’ll need to stick with the supported VR devices and/or a PC for the authoring tool.
Our top recommendation is the Oculus Quest 3. This headset is fully supported by Brahmarsive and provides an optimal, smooth performance for immersive experiences. Using Quest 3 means you’re less likely to encounter any lag or compatibility issues, and you’ll be able to enjoy everything the platform has to offer at its full potential. While other devices (like Quest 2 or Quest Pro) can work, the Quest 3 will give you the best overall experience. If you have access to a Quest 3, we suggest using it for Brahmarsive whenever possible!
If you’re having trouble running Brahmarsive, the first step is to double-check that your device meets our minimum requirements and is on our supported list. Often, performance issues come from using hardware that’s below spec or not officially supported. Make sure, for example, that you’re using one of the recommended VR headsets (and that your PC, if you’re using one for authoring, has the needed specs). If your device isn’t supported or is underpowered, you might experience lag, crashes, or other problems. Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds for performance problems or inaccessibility that result from incompatible or insufficient hardware – so it’s really important to verify compatibility ahead of time. That said, we’re here to help: if you’re unsure whether your setup is adequate, feel free to reach out to our support team. We can guide you on whether your device should work or if an upgrade might be needed, ensuring you get the best Brahmarsive experience possible.
